Long, continuously ascending track up Roys Peak, with amazing and rewarding view of Lake Wanaka, surrounding area and mountains.

The Roys Peak Track is a very popular track around Wanaka. It starts a few minutes from Wanaka leading up to Roys Peak (duh!). The track faces Lake Wanaka, so all through out the track you are able to have greater and better looks of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding areas.

The best views however, start about two thirds from the end of the track, when you reach some lower peaks and you are able to see into the valley on the other side of the mountain or into the Matukituki River valley.
