The Abel Tasman Coastal Track is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks. Normally, it’s a tramp of about three days. But because that wasn’t enough for me, I made a six day tramp out of it, following the Inland Track back. 2016-05-25+1 – Up Hopkins River, Huxley River to Huxley Hut
I started north of Lake Ohau, and followed the Hopkins River up past Monument Hut, until Huxley River branched into it. Crossing Huxley River on a swing bridge, I followed it until I reached Huxley Hut. This was my first 2 day tramp, where I slept in one of NZ’s numerous huts.
