2016-05-25+1 – Up Hopkins River, Huxley River to Huxley Hut
I started north of Lake Ohau, and followed the Hopkins River up past Monument Hut, until Huxley River branched into it. Crossing Huxley River on a swing bridge, I followed it until I reached Huxley Hut. This was my first 2 day tramp, where I slept in one of NZ’s numerous huts.
MUC – DXB – SYD – CHC
If my previous flights would have been any good indication of what I had to expect on this flight, I probably should be stranded somewhere in Timbuktu after missing half my planes… But I didn’t. I actually arrived in Christchurch on time. And am pleasantly surprised by Emirates.
